Partners supporting SMEs in the Cotswolds and North Wiltshire

Business Doctors, the SME support franchise, has launched a new territory for the Cotswolds and North Wiltshire.

It has been bought by business partners Catherine Faircloth and Adam Schallamach.

Catherine is a qualified lawyer and spent the first part of her career in recruitment and head-hunting, including setting up and running a successful business in Hong Kong for a London consultancy. Since 2000, Catherine has managed a property portfolio.

Adam is a qualified commercial lawyer with over 25 years’ experience in financial services. He is currently vice chair of the Swindon and Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership and sits on the Swindon Place Board.

Both share a passion for business, and have chosen to share their knowledge and skills with SMEs in their local area as part of the Business Doctors network, said co-franchisor Matt Levington.

“Small and medium sized businesses need a different kind of support,” says Adam. “We are looking forward to providing affordable, practical and hands on help to business owners who want to identify and break down their companies’ barriers to next level growth.

“Business Doctors get stuck in. We don’t just talk strategy – we implement it and get results.”

“We understand how budget-conscious SME owners are and set out to provide great value in everything we do,” echoed Catherine.

Describing its offer as “somewhere in between consultancy and coaching”, Business Doctors offers hands-on support to owners of small and medium-sized companies.

Since humble beginnings above a Cheshire takeaway in 2004, franchisors Rod Davies and Matt Levington were set on building the go-to brand for SME advisory and consultancy services.

With over 30 Business Doctors territories now operating around the UK, the ambitious pair took their first steps beyond British soil when they launched in South Africa in May 2014. Today, Business Doctors’ territories are up and running in eight regions of the country, including Johannesburg, its largest and wealthiest city. In 2016, Business Doctors launched in India, Malta, and Republic of Ireland, and in 2017 they appointed a master franchisor for Belgium and the Netherlands.

Rod Davies, Business Doctors’ co-founder, said: “I am confident that Catherine and Adam will be able to use their experience to transform the fortunes of SMEs around the Cotswolds and North Wiltshire.

“They share my belief that entrepreneurs need hands on, practical support and not just consultancy. Business Doctors offers an affordable and jargon free middle ground between coaching and consultancy and Catherine and Adam are well placed to deliver this service to an exceptional standard.”
